Do I love it

Only buy something you truly want or need.
When you only buy things, you connect with, you'll get more wear out of it. what's the maximum number of times you've re-worn your favorite item over a passing fad?

How can I style it

Take a look in your existing wardrobe, do you see at least 3 things you could pair your new purchase with?

The most sustainable thing you can do, is just use what you already have.
Will you have to buy more things for your brand new things?

Is it my Style and Size

Is it an article of clothing you find yourself reaching for already? Is it comfortable?
Study size charts and product descriptions before buying.

Don't buy a size you want to fit in, clothes are meant to fit you, not the other way around.

How is it made

By choosing to spend mindfully, you can make sure to support the ideas and values that align with yours.
Slow fashion helps reduce our impact on the planet, ensures fair wages and working conditions and build meaningful fashion experiences.

Before you buy,
Ask yourself
  • Why did I have to overcomplicate everything and set up and create so many new systems

and workflows for myself when I could have sold the bodysuit through simpler means?

    Why not?
Simply put, I did it just coz I can
I have a very specific big picture plan all of it will eventually tie into, a plan thats constantly changing of course.

  • The goal once I had the bodysuit was to Start.
Start with another Instagram page to document my journey,
Start calling it Art, as all reason flew out the window with this one.

Start using the website for something I actually want to share.

    Just start.

  • I did it, I made the thing and so many other things for the main thing.
Just this website has so many things!

Imagine how overwhelmed I must be with all this in my brain, It's nice to have all these spots

my own little corners on the internet where all my skills merge together as a means for me to explore the possibilities, and see how far I can push myself to learn EVERYTHING to be able

to do this whole bit by myself, albeit in my time.

  • Well, I say Loss....but I mean lessons.
Can't all be wins, I realized I suuuuck at selling, I mean It's no surprise, when I do everything the opposite way, I would never ever advise anyone to do things the same way I do.
    10/10 wouldn't recommend.

Might eventually have to do something about that, but I'm working on it.

that seems to be enough for now.

  • I cooould make more things, and then learn how to sell those things...I just Know it will

suck all the creativity and fun out of me if I focus too much on selling and I just don't want to.

I have a lot of other additional things I'm taking on next, for The ART stuff, I would like to use

it to re-learn how to work with other creative minds, and I do also have some really inspiring people onboard already so, that's happening...

But maybe no sewing for a while, and focus more on what I have already made
Most of which I don't even have final-ish pictures for.

  • I will never give up on this, but I do need to put a pin in this and shift focus to something

more helpful, I cannot ignore the realities of the world for my art.....so Design.

    My next natural shift.
If you've been watching anything I have been sharing, you should be able to see my affinity

for the Digital realm, I have over a decade of design experience, before 28
I started using photoshop at 12 and never went back, How do I plan on pivoting to Design?

FAQs?

A Designer of many things based in Mumbai. Currently exploring the limitless possibilities of fashion, while trying to be as sustainable as I can be (which is NOT easy). Made possible by limiting myself to using resources I have collected over the years.

I challenged myself to the same, while sewing countless gifts for friends over the years. (With the added benefit of honing my sewing skills) and I finally feel ready to take up custom commissions, or in parting with my one-off pieces I had been sewing for myself since I was 10, really.

Creating things is something I have always enjoyed immensely, but actually going to college NIFT for it, I was left very disillusioned by it all.

There was a right way, and a wrong way to do things, with a lot of rigid rules and that's without getting into the fast fashion industry, and the impact of it on our floating rock in space.

I have been learning and un-learning a lot of things lately and I'm looking forward to sharing it and changing things and how they should be, as I go. My only goal is to find the Artist within all the design.
